Worst Oscars ever?

I was paying attention to the post-Oscars debates on the hosting abilities of Anne Hathaway and James Franco that sadly did not fulfill the purpose they were hired for… The viewership has decreased about 10% this year and it’s widely predicted that the number will increase in the years to come.

It’s just a wake-up call on the part of the Academy on its losing place in global attention. The negative reviews on their hosts proved that their desperate efforts to attract their already diminishing audience have failed. Personally I don’t know if I will be watching the next Oscars too. I know it’s good to see a celebration of the year’s best films but… what of that?

I felt sorry for Franco to be up there when he was addressed as a Best Actor nominee. I rather see Franco and Hathaway being spotlighted as nominees and winners of Best Actor/Actress awards, instead of being seemingly glamorous presenters of an outdated film committee losing grip on the world.
